Farm Graduates
Graziers - Josh & Laura, 1st Farm Graduates
At end of 2019, Josh & Laura completed 3 years of practice and learning to source, purchase, transport, manage, graze, butcher, market and sell: beef, goats, lambs, hogs, chickens and rabbits. That’s a lot to learn, and they did it beautifully! And of course, their work in supporting these gentle grazing animals, brought back to the Farm many earthworms, toads, frogs, snakes, song birds along with innumerable and invisible soil-biology diversity. Their work requires a discipline to meet the animals where they are, and an instinct to know how fast the grass will grow that keeps them fed and happy. This is an high art, backed by knowledge, experience and science. Its also a lot of fun!

Growers/Gardners - John & Kelly, 2nd Farm Graduates
In 2019, John and Kelly seized the opportunity to plan, plant, grow, harvest, transport, market and sell a full season of fresh vegetables on Earth Wisdom Farm. Their half-acre garden plot included: Arugula, Beets & Beet Greens, Carrots, Cilantro, Dill, Ginger, Kale, Lettuce, Mustard, Parsley, Radishes, Scallions, Spinach, Squash, Tomatoes & Turnips. Tending these many tender plants requires a lot of time on the land. Cool early mornings are often best. The garden plot is fertile and resting now, ready in the Spring for its next Grower.

Golf Course Graizer - Cayanne Ruth Korder
Ruth spend the Summer of 2020 moving 16 lambs and 6 goats 2x/day as they grazed between the greens on Gopher Hills Golf Course near Miesville, Minnesota. This was Ruth’s first farm experience and she jumped right in! By the end of the season she had become expert in the art of tackling and carrying lambs when normal herding techniques failed.
